What are herbal teas?
Herbal teas have been used for thousands of years, as people have sought to use the plants around them to help with ailments. Over time, many herbs, fruits, vegetables and plants have been used for their immune enhancing effects. So, how do herbs help us?
A Ph.D. author specializing in natural healing explains how some, “are like super foods whose nutrients are building blocks for the entire body. Others exert specific strengthening or stimulating effects on certain physiological functions. Still others help to detoxify the system. Some herbs perform more than one function, for example they may cleanse to a degree, but predominantly build up the system” (Null, 2007). The benefits of different herbal teas are immense and many of the ingredients such as lemons, turmeric, ginger, rosemary, lavender, mint and more not only can be grown in your yard but are found in your local grocery store.
What really makes herbal teas so great is that you can be creative and mix fruit, roots, leaves, flowers, CBD and spices to make hundreds of different varieties of tea.
